Whether you recognized David from his work with Island Energy Services, Thireau, National Grid, New England Electric or Nantucket Electric Company, he built a reputation as a hardworking and dependable professional throughout the industry.
A deeply committed member of the Nantucket community, David gave his time and energy to countless causes and organizations focused on making the island a better place.
He was a dedicated coach to his daughters and an advocate for island athletics; always present on the fields and sidelines, supporting the next generation.
He genuinely believed that the most important role a person could have was in being an active contributor to the community and was involved in many Island initiatives, boards, committees and countless community organizations.
David will be remembered as one of the hardest-working men anyone could meet, but above all, as a devoted family man.
His greatest joy in life was his family, and he was never happier than when he was talking about them or spending time with them. His kindness, generosity, and steady presence touched so many, and his absence will be deeply felt throughout Nantucket and beyond.
A celebration of his life was held on Thursday, April 2 in the ballroom of the Nantucket Hotel on Easton Street.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in David’s memory to one of the many organizations that support the Nantucket community.
