Thankful For NCH And Dr. Monto

To the editor: My wife and I would like to thank the ER team at Nantucket Cottage Hospital. Their fast and friendly service made an uncomfortable situation a little easier to deal with.

She’s now recovered but recently had a fall that was going to require surgery, maybe in Boston. Travel can sometimes be a little bit of a journey, as we all know.

That’s when I reached out to Dr. Monto and Betsy Brooks of Oceanus Health. Although they were at a conference in Texas that weekend, Dr. Monto took the time to look at Lori’s charts and agreed to meet her that Monday. Right then, he scheduled her surgery, and we would be able to STAY on the island, which was huge! The follow-up care was just as impressive. In and out within 45 minutes.

So thank you, NCH, but a HUGE thank you to Dr. Monto and Betsy Brooks of Oceanus Health!
