Your Future Stake In Our Island Home

To the editor: Many of Nantucket’s long-term elderly are the self-selected “stayers” within close-knit multigenerational local families — persons who’ve always called Nantucket home and always will. It’s time for the members of all such families to deliver the core of support necessary to keep Our Island Home.
By the 2090s, might it be you paying regular visits to a loved one? If so, you must vote now to save OIH for future generations. Join me and others in urging an overwhelming majority vote to pass the override for OIH:
Lee Saperstein: “Not providing care on-island sets up large future costs for our heirs.”
Fran Karttunen: “We cannot export our fellow Nantucketers in need of residential care . . . and we cannot wish them away.”
