Beyoncé And Jay-Z Attend Nantucket Wedding On Saturday

Nantucket has hosted some well-known celebrities and politicians over the years, but perhaps none bigger than the pair of entertainers who were spotted on-island over the weekend.

Beyoncé and Jay-Z, along with the couple's daughter Blue Ivey, were on Nantucket Saturday to attend the wedding of Beyoncé's former assistant, Sam Greenberg, and Will Spring.

Beyoncé, one of the most successful recording artists ever with 32 Grammy Awards, and Jay-Z (Sean Carter), one of the biggest names in hip-hop, were spotted first at the wedding ceremony at a private residence on Hulbert Avenue, and later at the reception at a rental home on South Shore Road.

Both locations featured a heavy private security presence along with a Nantucket Police Department detail while the Carters were in attendance.

The large reception, which was held at a property owned by island developer Jamie Feeley, prompted concerns from some neighbors along South Shore Road who took to social media with complaints about the noise and traffic, as well as questions about the legality and appropriateness of holding such an event in a residential area.
