“Jordana brings an extraordinary combination of professional theatre experience, arts education leadership, and deep institutional history with us. She helped shape the foundation of youth theatre at the Dreamland, and her return allows us to build on that legacy with greater intention, reach, and year-round impact,” said Alicia Carney, executive director of the Dreamland.

Outside of Dreamland, Fleischut’s background includes serving as the executive and creative director of the Theatre Workshop of Nantucket and as the producing director of the White Heron Theatre Company. Off-island, her arts advocacy endeavors include 12 years with the Massachusetts Cultural Council, work supporting the restoration of New York’s historic Glove Theatre, and contributions to the development of Colorado’s Cultural District,

Fleischut is a member of SAG-AFTRA and Actors’ Equity, and holds a BFA from SUNY Potsdam and The Crane School of Music in Studio Art, Photography, and Musical Theater, as well as a dual Master’s degree with honors from the University of Denver in Arts Development & Program Management and Project Management.

“To return now, with everything I have learned and experienced, and to help build something even stronger for the children of this island, genuinely feels like coming home,” Fleischut said. “Every child who walks through our doors deserves to feel safe, seen, heard, and empowered to express themselves. That has always been my mission, and this is exactly the right place to continue that work.”
