Golf Team Clinches Spot In State Tournament

The Whaler golf team punched their ticket to the MIAA State Tournament Friday afternoon following a win over the Cape Cod Academy Seahawks 3.5-2.5 and the Rising Tide Herons 5.5-.5 in a tri-match.

Head coach Sam Herrick decided to play Braden Knapp and Pat Carroll as his top two golfers in this match. Carroll and Henry Kathawala both were medalists and shot 39s. Knapp beat his Rising Tide opponent but lost to his CCA opponent. Carroll beat his CCA opponent and tied his rising tide opponent.
