The 2022 homecoming parade took place Saturday morning, beginning at approximately 9:45 a.m. Sports teams and the high school classes decorated floats and traveled a planned route with retired Nantucket Police Lieutenant Jerry Adams leading the way in his cruiser, telling the Current at one of the soccer games later on in the day he added an extra lap to the route downtown after seeing everyone engaged and having a good time.

The parade route was as followed:

Began behind the school, take a right onto Sparks Ave. towards the Milestone Rotary, to Orange St., to Washington St., to Easy St., left on Broad St., left on S. Water St., up Main St., right on Center St., back down Broad St., right on S. Water St., back up Main St., left on Orange St. and then back to school, where the floats were parked and the NHS student athletes prepared for their games.

The teams went 2-3 on Saturday. You can read up on how each team did and view a photo gallery from each game by checking out our Sports Roundup. The Current was on scene for the Homecoming Parade and above are some photos we took on the scene.
