Photo Gallery: 2024 Conservation Foundation's Race For Open Space

The Nantucket Conservation Foundation's 23rd Annual Race For Open Space 5K, 10K, and two mile walk took place on Saturday morning off Milestone Road at the cranberry bogs. The race recorded a record 686 registered runners and walkers.
Nicholas Cellini, 15, of Pomfret, Vermont had the fastest 5K time amongst men (16:52) while Blair Bartlett, 14, of Nantucket had the fastest 5K time amongst women and placed second overall with a time of 17:45.
As for the 10K it was Kelsey Gund, 19, of Weston, Massachusetts finishing with the fastest time amongst all runners (32:12) while Stuart McPhee, 53, of Nantucket placed second overall and had the fastest time amongst men with a time of 38:15.

Proceeds from the race go to the foundation’s Land Fund which helps to preserve and protect the island’s open spaces.
