Photo Gallery: 4th Annual Batacular Mountain Bike Race

The 2026 Batacular Mountain Bike Race took place early Sunday morning ahead of the Fall Festival, both of which are hosted and support the Nantucket Conservation Foundation.

The bike race, which just completed its fourth annual event, features two different options: one loop or two loop. The single loop option is 8.4 miles, and the double loop option is 16.8 miles.

Along the way, island residents who participate are able to experience the beauty of Nantucket's open spaces while they ride through the NCF's Middle Moors trails.

The biker’s participation supports NCF’s work protecting Nantucket’s natural resources through ecological research, public access to 9,000 acres of land, and environmental education.

Below are some photos taken during the race.
