Photo Gallery: Whaler Spring Sports Practices Begin

The 2026 Nantucket High School spring sports season is officially underway as all Whaler teams began practices on Monday (indoors) and then transitioned outside on Tuesday to enjoy the nice weather.

Below are some photos from baseball, girls lacrosse, and boys lacrosse taken by Chris Tran. The Current will be making it around to all of the team's practices and taking photos throughout the course of the week.

Below are the Whaler sports schedules via Arbiter.

Baseball - Their first game is scheduled for Friday, March 27th on the road against O'Bryant High School at 6 p.m.

Softball - Their first game is scheduled for Saturday, April 4th at home against Martha's Vineyard at 10:45 a.m.

Girls Lacrosse - Their first game is scheduled for Monday, March 30th on the road against Nauset at 4 p.m.

Boys Lacrosse - Their first game is scheduled for Tuesday, March 31st at home against the Monomoy Sharks at 4 p.m.

Sailing - Their first regatta is scheduled for Thursday, March 26th on the road against Cape Cod Academy at 3:30 p.m.

Boy Tennis - Their first game is scheduled for Thursday, March 26th on the road against Dennis-Yarmouth at 4 p.m.

Girls Tennis - Their first game is scheduled for Friday, March 27th at home against St. John Paul II at 4 p.m.

There is no schedule currently published for outdoor track & field on Arbiter.
