This week’s Current Court Report includes arraignments and dispositions from the Monday and Tuesday Nantucket District Court sessions.
Lora-Jean Backner Bucknor, 44, of Nantucket was arraigned on an August 18th charge of assault & battery on a family/household member. She had a not-guilty plea entered on her behalf and was ordered to return to court Oct. 27th for a pretrial hearing.
Concepcion Benitez Molina, 61, of Nantucket had a July 19th charge of trespassing dismissed due to lack of prosecution after the alleged victim in the case declined to cooperate with prosecutors.
Ingrida Cernyte Rascius, 43, of Nantucket had Nov. 26th, 2023 charges of assault & battery on a family/household member and violating an harassment prevention order dismissed due to lack of prosecution. She also had a Feb. 4th, 2024 charge of violating an harassment prevention order dismissed due to lack of prosecution after the alleged victim in the case declined to cooperate with prosecutors.
Cecilia A. Traynham, 42, of Nantucket will have a June 5th, 2024 charge of possessing a Class B drug continued without a finding for one year and have charges of negligent operation of a motor vehicle and failure to stop/yield stemming from the same incident dismissed. She will also have Dec. 23rd, 2024 charges of negligent operation of a motor vehicle, possessing a Class B drug, and operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license continued without a finding for one year. Charges of operating a motor vehicle without an inspection sticker, a marked lanes violation, and not being in possession of her license stemming from the Dec. 23rd incident were dismissed. She also had a Jan. 15th charge of operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license continued without a finding for one year and will have charges of not being in possession of her license and operating a motor vehicle without an inspection sticker stemming from the same incident dismissed.
June 5th, 2024 and Dec. 23rd, 2024 charges of operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol were continued to August 26th and scheduled for a trial session.
