Donna D. Buchanan, 64, of Nantucket, pleaded guilty to July 13 charges of operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol (second offense) and negligent operation of a motor vehicle. She was sentenced to 90 days in the Barnstable House of Corrections, however, the sentence on the negligent operation of a motor vehicle will be suspended for one year on the condition she completes the probation without a violation – and the sentence on the OUI will be suspended for two years on the condition she completes the two years of probation without a violation. She was ordered to remain drug and alcohol-free while complying with testing and will be required to complete a driver-alcohol education program.

After being continued without a finding for one year, Pamela Bulkley, 51, of Nantucket, had July 21, 2022 charges of operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol and negligent operation of a motor vehicle dismissed.

After being continued without a finding for one year, William Blakemore Datilio, 30, of Nantucket, had an Aug. 1, 2022 charge of operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol dismissed.

Lashawn Goldson, 23, of Nantucket, had a May 18, 2022 charge of assault & battery with a dangerous weapon dismissed.

Bradford Grant, 47, of Nantucket, was arraigned on July 4 charges of unarmed burglary, breaking & entering a building in the nighttime for a felony, defacing property, and trespassing. He had not-guilty pleas entered on his behalf and was ordered to return to court Oct. 2 for a pretrial hearing. John Linder, 38, of Nantucket, was arraigned on July 29 charges of negligent operation of a motor vehicle, child under eight years & under 58 inches without a carseat (two counts), child 8-12 or over 57 inches without a seat belt, obstructing justice, and two marked lanes violations. He had not-guilty pleas entered on his behalf and was ordered to return to court Oct. 16 for a pretrial hearing.

According to the police report, Linder allegedly told police on the scene of a single car rollover he was involved in in the area of Bartlett Road/Raceway Drive involving a grey Ford Bronco that they were coming from Cisco Beach to head to their home on Surfside Road and as he made the turn onto Bartlett Road he accelerated - which is when the car began to roll towards the passenger side.

When police arrived at the hospital they said Linder provided the same story, however after speaking to Nantucket Fire Department personnel and Linder's children, they told police they were not at Cisco Beach but rather Cisco Brewery. When police told Linder they knew he was at the Brewery, he confirmed he was but told him they were at Cisco Brewery because he was nervous.

The official cause of the accident according to NPD was that Linder was turning onto Bartlett Road to Raceway when he accelerated through the turn. As a result of accelerating, he did not take the proper angle to make the turn causing the vehicle to go into the dirt median on the right side of the road. In an attempt to correct the vehicle by accelerating again and turning left, police said Linder crossed over the yellow line and after one last turn to the right in a third attempt to correct the vehicle, lost control and rolled the vehicle.

Erick Marmolejos, 19, of Nantucket, was arraigned on June 14 charges of unsafe operation of a motor vehicle and unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle. He had not-guilty pleas entered on his behalf and the charges will be dismissed following the payment of $100 in court costs.

Onfre Domingo Vazquez Rodriguez, 30, of Nantucket, was arraigned on an Aug. 26 charge of assault & battery. He had a not-guilty plea entered on his behalf and was ordered to return to court Oct. 16 for a pretrial hearing.

After being continued without a finding for six months, Pedro Tejada, 53, of Nantucket, had an Oct. 24, 2021 charge of operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol dismissed.
