This week’s Current Court Report includes arraignments and dispositions from the Monday and Tuesday Nantucket District Court sessions during the court’s jury week.
Dickson Jose Acosta, 45, of Nantucket was arraigned on a Nov. 21st, 2024 charge of assault & battery. He had a not-guilty plea entered on his behalf and was ordered to return to court March 10th for a pretrial hearing.
Lamar Lloyd Beckford, 31, of Nantucket will have a March 2nd, 2024 charge of operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol continued without a finding for one year on the condition he complete the probation without a violation, complete a driver alcohol education program, forfeit his license for 45 days, and pay $600 in fees.
Charges of negligent operation of a motor vehicle and a marked lanes violation stemming from the same incident were dismissed.
Dominic N. Hall, 42, of Nantucket was arraigned on a Jan. 27th charge of assault. He had a not-guilty plea entered on his behalf and was ordered to return to court March 10th for a pretrial hearing.
Ilio G. Perez, 48, of Nantucket pleaded guilty to a Feb. 27th, 2024 charge of assault & battery (amended down from assault & battery on a person over 60 years old). He was ordered to complete one year of probation.
Chevonne A. Pratt, 44, of Somerset, MA had three Sept. 26th, 2023 charges of identity fraud dismissed due to lack of prosecution after the alleged victim in the case declined to cooperate with prosecutors.
Craig L. Richard, 41, of Nantucket had an Oct. 19th, 2024 charge of operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol continued without a finding for one year on the condition he complete the probation without a violation, complete a driver alcohol education program, forfeit his license for 45 days, and pay $600 in fees.
Charges of negligent operation of a motor vehicle, speeding, and a marked lanes violation stemming from the same incident were dismissed.
Eric Miguel Gotay Rodriguez, 27, of Nantucket had a May 29th, 2024 charge of assault & battery with a dangerous weapon and a June 17th, 2024 charge of receiving stolen property dismissed due to lack of prosecution after the alleged victim in the case declined to cooperate with prosecutors.
Rodriguez also had Aug. 24th, 2024 charges of operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license, operating a motor vehicle without an inspection sticker, a motor vehicle lights violation, and not being in possession of his registration dismissed.
