This week’s Current Court Report includes arraignments and dispositions from Monday’s Nantucket District Court session.
Adalisbeth Acosta De Aza, 25, of Nantucket was arraigned on a Dec. 22, 2024 charge of assault & battery. She had a not-guilty plea entered on her behalf and was ordered to return to court March 4th for a pretrial hearing.
Rosemary Batista, 38, of Nantucket was arraigned on a Jan. 27th charge of assault & battery on a family/household member. She had a not-guilty plea entered on her behalf and was ordered to return to court March 17th for a pretrial hearing.
Norvin Obed Ramirez Blandon, 30, of Nantucket was arraigned on Jan. 25thcharges of operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol, a marked lanes violation, negligent operation of a motor vehicle, possession of an open container of alcohol in a motor vehicle, and failure to wear a seatbelt. He had not-guilty pleas entered on his behalf and was ordered to return to court Feb. 18th for a pretrial hearing.
Josue S. Melgar Paz, 34, of Nantucket will have an April 2, 2024 charge of leaving the scene of property damage continued without a finding for one year on the condition he complete the probation without a violation and pay $100 in court costs. Charges of using a motor vehicle without authority and unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle stemming from the same incident were dismissed.
William Matthew Suddarth, 44, of Warrenton, Virginia, had an Aug. 26th, 2024 charge of assault & battery on a family/household member dismissed due to lack of prosecution after the alleged victim in the case declined to cooperate with prosecutors.
