This week’s Current Court Report includes arraignments and dispositions from Monday’s Nantucket District Court session.
Ricardo Antones Garcia De Souza, 31, of Nantucket was arraigned on Feb. 1 charges of resisting arrest and disorderly conduct. He had not-guilty pleas entered on his behalf and was ordered to return to court April 8th for a pretrial hearing.
Travon Grant, 18, of Nantucket was arraigned on a Feb. 2 charge of assault & battery on a family/household member. He had a not-guilty plea entered on his behalf and was ordered to return to court April 8th for a pretrial hearing.
Jose Leonardo Guzman, 31, of Nantucket had a Dec. 6 charge of assault & battery on a family/household member dismissed by the Cape & Islands District Attorney’s Office after the alleged victim in the case declined to cooperate with investigators.
Sergio Jimenez Orozco, 40, of West Palm Beach, Florida, was arraigned on a June 22, 2023 charge of reckless operation of a motor vehicle. He had a not-guilty plea entered on his behalf and was ordered to return to court April 8thfor a pretrial hearing.
Ingrida Cernyte Rascius, 41, of Nantucket was arraigned on a Feb. 4th charge of violating a harassment prevention order. She had a not-guilty plea entered on her behalf and was ordered to return to court March 4th for a pretrial hearing.
After being continued without a finding for one year, Katherine Grace Rau, 21, of Greenich, Connecticut had a June 17, 2021 charge of negligent operation of a motor vehicle dismissed.
