This week’s Current Court Report includes arraignments and dispositions from the Monday and Tuesday Nantucket District Court sessions.
Nicholas Charles Amendolare, 51, of Nantucket was arraigned on July 22ndcharges of operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol and possessing an open container of alcohol in a motor vehicle. He had not-guilty pleas entered on his behalf and was ordered to return to court August 31st for a pretrial hearing.
David Lemus Castro Jr., 22, of Nantucket was arraigned on July 28th charges of failure to stop/yield, speeding, negligent operation of a motor vehicle, and failure to stop for police. He had not-guilty pleas entered on his behalf and was ordered to return to court August 4th for a pretrial hearing.
After being continued without a finding for one year, Celine Juliette Fiumara, 29, of Nantucket had a July 4th, 2025 charge of operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol dismissed.
Anthony Trey Holland, 34, of Nantucket will have a December 23rd, 2025 charge of assault & battery continued without a finding for one year on the condition he complete his probation without a violation.
Yesser Alejandro Lopez, 25, of Nantucket will have an April 11th charge of operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol continued without a finding for one year on the condition he complete his probation without a violation, forfeit his license for 45 days, complete a driver alcohol education program, and pay $600 in fees. Lopez was found responsible for a marked lanes violation stemming from the same incident and had a negligent operation of a motor vehicle charge dismissed.
Kevin Rodelmiro Lima Mateo, 24, of Nantucket will have a February 18thcharge of operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol continued without a finding for one year on the condition he complete his probation without a violation, forfeit his license for 45 days, complete a driver alcohol education program, and pay $600 in fees. Charges of negligent operation of a motor vehicle and a marked lanes violation stemming from the incident were dismissed.
After having a motion to suppress evidence in his case granted, Benjamin N. McPherron, 26, of Nantucket had May 24th charges of operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol, negligent operation of a motor vehicle, motor vehicle lights violation, and unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle dismissed.
After being continued without a finding for 18 months, Josue Samuel Melgar-Paz, 36, of Nantucket had an April 2nd, 2024 charge of leaving the scene of property damage dismissed.
Aleksandar Sarcevic, 38, of Nantucket was arraigned on a June 1st charge of larceny over $1,200. He had a not-guilty plea entered on his behalf and was ordered to return to court October 5th for a pretrial hearing.
After being continued without a finding for one year, Armando J. Tamayo Ceja, 34, of Nantucket had an August 31st, 2024 charge of operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol dismissed.
Other court news, Eric Miguel Gotay Rodriguez, 29, of Nantucket will be arraigned on August 31st on two July 14th charges of assault & battery with a dangerous weapon. Rodriguez was the alleged victim in the kidnapping incident on July 16th at Winter Park.. The four kidnappers alleged that two days prior on July 14th, Rodriguez was involved in the fight at an Essex Road residence alongside Shawn Duncan, 52, and were “assisting police” with their investigation.
Duncan is alleging through his attorney – Erin Donovan – that his initial attack on Brown was in defense of his nephew, who Duncan claims has been the target of consistent harassment, bullying, and physical abuse by the four men on several occasions.
Duncan, along with Calray Brown, 31, Dijon K. Hazel, 30, Newton Lawrence, 35, and Alvin Barnett, 21, were arraigned on July 20th for their involvement in the two incidents.
