This week’s Current Court Report includes arraignments and dispositions from the Monday Nantucket District Court session.
Mahmoud M. Odeh, 25, of Nantucket, was arraigned on a December 6th, 2025 charge of indecent assault & battery on a person 14 or over. He had a not-guilty plea entered on his behalf and was released on his personal recognizance on the condition he stay away and have no contact with the alleged victim. He was ordered to return to court April 21st for a pretrial hearing.
According to the police report, Odeh and the alleged victim were hanging out at Odeh’s apartment on May 21st, 2025 after Odeh invited the alleged victim over for dinner. The alleged victim told Nantucket police detectives that during dinner, Odeh poured her two glasses of wine and did not recall Odeh drinking wine himself “other than just tasting it.”
The victim said she remembered her head feeling thick and heavy, and that Odeh suggested that she shouldn’t walk home. He proceeded to bring her up to his bedroom, where he allegedly assaulted her. When she woke up, the alleged victim told police she pushed him away, asked him what he was doing, told Odeh no, and left the residence.
In other Nantucket District Court news, Celedonio Benjamin Alvarez Ramirez, 37, of Nantucket, pleaded guilty to May 15th, 2025 charges of leaving the scene of personal injury and negligent operation of a motor vehicle, while having a guilty finding filed on a charge of unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle stemming from the same incident. He was ordered to complete 18-months of probation and had a charge of failing to stop/yield dismissed.
Josue E. Calderon Calderon, 22, of Nantucket, was arraigned on December 25th, 2025 charges of leaving the scene of property damage, negligent operation of a motor vehicle, marked lanes violation, and intimidating a witness/juror/police/court official. He had not-guilty pleas entered on his behalf and was ordered to return to court May 18th for a pretrial hearing.
After completing one year of pretrial probation, Khvicha Papashvilli, 52, of Nantucket had February 12th, 2025 charges of possessing a Class E drug and operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license dismissed.
