This week’s Current Court Report includes arraignments and dispositions from Monday’s Nantucket District Court session.
William J. Burns, 29, of Lincoln, MA, will have a July 30th charge of operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol continued without a finding for one year on the condition he forfeit his license for 45 days, complete a driver alcohol education program, pay $600 in fees, and complete the one year of probation without any violations.
Charges of negligent operation of a motor vehicle and a marked lanes violation stemming from the same incident were dismissed.
Denise M. Corson, 45, of Nantucket, had an Aug. 9th charge of leaving the scene of property damage dismissed by the prosecutors.
Junior Discalis Perez, 33, of Nantucket, was arraigned on Oct. 15th charges of operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol, negligent operation of a motor vehicle, a marked lanes violation, and speeding. He had not-guilty pleas entered on his behalf and was ordered to return to court March 4th for a pretrial hearing.
Yoaris Manuel Eustate Alvarado, 32, of Nantucket, had April 20th, 2023 charges of rape and photographing an unsuspecting nude person (10 counts) nolle prossed (dismissed) after Alvarado was indicted in Nantucket Superior Court, where he has been arraigned and the Cape & Islands District Attorney's Office is now pursuing charges there.
Jorge A. Guzman, 30, of Nantucket, was arraigned on Nov. 17th charges of negligent operation of a motor vehicle, possessing an open container of alcohol in a motor vehicle, operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol, failure to stop/yield, and speeding.
Guzman agreed to a plea deal on the day of his arraignment and will have the operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol charge continued without a finding for one year on the condition he forfeit his license for 45 days, complete a driver alcohol education program, pay $600 in fees, and complete his one year of probation without a violation.
All the other charges stemming from the incident were dismissed.
Anthony Trey Holland, 32, of Nantucket, had a Feb. 9th charge of assault & battery on a police officer dismissed after completing six months of pretrial probation.
Francisco S. Romero Matos, 31, of Woodhaven, New York, was arraigned on a Sept. 23rd charge of assault & battery. He had a not-guilty plea entered on his behalf and was ordered to return to court Dec. 16th for a pretrial hearing.
Ludvin Salguero Najera, 28, of Nantucket, will have a March 9th charge of operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol continued without a finding for one year on the condition he complete his probation without a violation, forfeit his license for 45 days, complete a driver alcohol education course, and pay $600 in fees.
Charges of negligent operation of a motor vehicle, speeding, and possessing an open container of alcohol in a motor vehicle stemming from the same incident were dismissed.
Bouchra Yates-Ciarmataro, 42, of Nantucket, had July 5th, 2024 charges of assault & battery on a family/household member and possession of a Class B drug dismissed due to lack of prosecution after the alleged victim in the case declined to cooperate with the prosecutors.
