Current Court Report - September 2, 2025

This week’s Current Court Report includes arraignments and dispositions from the Tuesday Nantucket District Court session.

After completing nine months of pretrial probation, Shannon Y. Gonzalez, 33, of Nantucket had a July 30^th, 2024 charge of assault and battery dismissed.

After being continued without a finding for one year, Roni J, Manon Perez, 41, of Nantucket had an Aug. 9^th, 2024 charge of operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol dismissed.

Josue Samuel Melgar-Paz, 35, of Nantucket was arraigned on a July 13^thcharge of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon. He had a not-guilty plea entered on his behalf and was ordered to return to court Oct. 14^th for a pretrial hearing.

Adam A. Smith, 40, of Nantucket was arraigned on Sept. 2^nd charges of operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol, negligent operation of a motor vehicle, and a marked lanes violation. He had not-guilty pleas entered on his behalf and was ordered to return to court Oct. 10^th for a pretrial hearing.
