This week’s Current Court Report includes arraignments and dispositions from the Monday Nantucket District Court session.

Samuel Erasto Alvarado Aguilar
, 53, of Nantucket will have September 23rd, 2024 charges of assault & battery and possessing a Class B drug continued without a finding for one year and had charges of assault with a dangerous weapon and possessing a Class B drug stemming from the same incident dismissed.

Aguilar also had a May 30th charge of possessing cocaine to distribute continued without a finding for two years and had a charge of unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle stemming from the same incident dismissed.

Jonathan Alexander Benitez Menjivar
, 29, of Nantucket was arraigned on July 8th charges of negligent operation of a motor vehicle, speeding, and a marked lanes violation. He had not-guilty pleas entered on his behalf and was ordered to return to court October 14th for a pretrial hearing.

Duglas Antonio Castro Hernandez
, 26, of Nantucket pleaded guilty to a July 4th charge of operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol (second offense) and had charges of negligent operation of a motor vehicle and operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license stemming from the same incident continued without a finding for two years. He will need to forfeit his license for 45 days and complete a driver alcohol education program.

Hernandez also had June 21st charges of leaving the scene of property damage and negligent operation of a motor vehicle continued without a finding for two years, was found responsible on a charge of possessing an open container of alcohol in a motor vehicle, and not responsible on a marked lanes violation. He was ordered to complete a brains at risk program.

Predrag Denic
, 60, of Nantucket was arraigned on September 6th charges of assault & battery on a family/household member, intimidating a witness/juror/police/court official, and malicious destruction of property under $1,200. He had not-guilty pleas entered on his behalf and was ordered to return to court October 20th for a pretrial hearing.

Kenia Garcia Vasquez
, 48, of Nantucket was arraigned on December 29th, 2024 charges of leaving the scene of property damage, negligent operation of a motor vehicle, and unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle. She had not-guilty pleas entered on his behalf and was ordered to return to court October 14th for a pretrial hearing.

Nikola Jovanovski
, 27, of Nantucket was arraigned on August 27th charges of operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol, negligent operation of a motor vehicle, speeding, and a marked lanes violation. He was also arraigned on a September 5th charge of possessing a Class B drug. He had not-guilty pleas entered on his behalf and was ordered to return to court October 14th for a pretrial hearing.

After completing two years of probation following guilty pleas, the probation Bradford G. Phelps, 58, of Nantucket was serving on May 20th, 2023 charges of operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol (second offense) and negligent operation of a motor vehicle was terminated and the case is now closed.

Kedrick K. Pleasant
, 48, of Nantucket was arraigned on a September 3rdcharge of violating an harassment prevention order. He had a not-guilty plea entered on his behalf and was ordered to return to court October 14th for a pretrial hearing.

Stephen J. Romeo
, 68, will have September 30th, 1996 charges of leaving the scene of property damage, failure to stop for police, failure to stop/yield, and speeding dismissed on the condition he pay $400 in court costs.

After completing two years of probation following guilty pleas to July 25th, 2023 charges of breaking and entering a building in the nighttime for a felony, malicious destruction of property over $1,200, and violating an abuse prevention order, Cory Francis Vaughn, 35, of Nantucket had the probation terminated and the case is now closed.
