The 50th Christmas Stroll will take place this weekend, and below is a list of all the events taking place on island. Festival of Trees
Every year, community members, local merchants, nonprofit organizations, artists, artisans, and school children design magnificent trees displayed in the Whaling Museum for visitors to enjoy throughout the season. Proceeds from this event support the Nantucket Historical Association’s year-round educational outreach and preservation efforts. You can learn more about this event by clicking here. It will take place all weekend from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day.
Cisco Brewery Christmas Stroll Hours
Stroll Weekend At Calista West
On Friday, December 6th from 2-6 p.m., join Calista West for Ladies Night and tarot, champagne, charcuterie, wishlist building. Then on Saturday, December 7th from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., join Calista West for an ear piercing event, hot cocoa, and a fun surprise. Up to 30%-50% off jewelry + enter to win their special giveaway all weekend.
Sustainable Nantucket Farmers & Artisans Market
Sustainable Nantucket's Farmers and Artisans market will be indoors at the Nantucket Yacht Club on Friday, December 6th and Saturday, December 7th from 9 a.m. to 4 m. each day. The event will feature over 50 local artisans and food vendors, and they will have live music (the Chris Hanson Band) from 2-4 p.m. on Friday, and 1-3 m. on Saturday. The event is free and great for holiday shopping.
Christmas Stroll At The Lobster Trap With The Mighty Pines
The Annual Dreamland Stroll Party 2024 Featuring The Hess Twins
Join the Nantucket Dreamland for their fourth annual Stroll Party on their second floor Friday, December 6th from 7-10 p.m. The Hess Twins will be performing your favorite top 40, classic, and holiday hits to dance the night away to. Dress in your finest Stroll garb and the Dreamland will have a contest for the best dressed, with the winner taking home four tickets to our Daffodil weekend party. They'll have a Step-and-Repeat for photos, mirror photo booth, along with a cash bar and some lite bites. The Dance Party will take place in the Studio Theater with awesome lighting and decorations. Food and areas to relax will be available in the Harborview Gallery and deck. This event sells out every year, so don’t delay in getting your tickets.
This event is open to 18 and over, with 21+ getting wristbands. General Public: $48 ($45 ticket + $3 service fee). Dreamland Members: $35. You can purchase tickets here.
Celebrate Christmas Stroll At The Corner Table
Head to the Corner Table (22 Federal Street) for their Holiday Finger Food Frenzy on Friday, December 6th from 12-4 p.m. for a Tapas-style tasting experience with a light culinary lesson. Tickets are $30 and can be purchased here. Then on Saturday, December 7th from 12-5 p.m. drop-in for their cookies, face painting, and seasonal themed cocktails.
Wreath Workshops At Bartlett's Farm
Wreath Making Stations will be available at Bartlett's Farm between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. throughout the weekend. All supplies are provided. You can purchase tickets here.
Christmas Stroll At The Nantucket Hotel
The Nantucket Hotel will have a wide range of festivities taking place throughout stroll weekend, which you can view in depth here. There will be cocktails, special dinner menu items, and live entertainment.
Elin Hilderbrand’s Winter Street
Following a sold out run last season, this encore presentation of Elin Hilderbrand’s Winter Street comes as the New York Times Best Selling Author releases, Swan Song, her final book with the far way island of Nantucket as its backdrop and as Netflix premieres a star studded television event of Hilderbrand’s novel The Perfect Couple. Theatre Workshop of Nantucket takes part in celebrating Hilderbrand and just in time for the Holiday Season, as the iconic Quinn Family take the stage for a second time in Justin Cerne’s adaption of the Winter Street Series. TWN is the only place where you can see the Quinns come to life. You can purchase tickets here.
Nantucket Preservation Trust Stroll Open House
On Friday, December 6th from 3-5 p.m. enjoy free hot cider and holiday treats in the festive ambiance of Sherburne Hall (11 Centre Street) and learn about Nantucket Preservation Trust’s ongoing advocacy work to preserve, protect, and promote the island’s historic architecture and sense of place.
Cool Yule Stroll Weekend Reception
Join the Artists Association of Nantucket for a festive holiday art opening in the Cecelia Joyce & Seward Johnson Gallery at 19 Washington Street on Friday, December 6th at 5 p.m.. See the Holiday Small Works show (perfect for holiday presents), and enjoy light bites and refreshment. There will also be a Stroll Pop Up at the Big Gallery (12 Straight Wharf) featuring art by local artist members on Saturday, December 7th from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
It’s Beginning to Sound A Lot Like Christmas Concert
On Friday, December 6th at 7 p.m. at St. Paul's Church (20 Fair Street), there will be a Christmas Concert featuring holiday classics and everyone's favorite Christmas Carols. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. and tickets are just $25. Both cash and credit card payment accepted.
Leslie Linsley Book Signing
This book signing will take place on Saturday, December 7th from 10-11 a.m. at Mitchell's Book Corner.
Tower Climb + Meet Santa’s Reindeer
Climb The First Congregational Church tower at 62 Centre Street and meet Santa’s reindeer for the best view of Nantucket on Saturday, December 7th from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Suggested $5 donation per person to benefit The Warming Place
Nantucket Lighthouse School's Yuletide Fair
On Saturday, December 7th from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., head to the White Elephant Ballroom at 19 North Water Street for the Nantucket Lighthouse School's Yuletide Fair. You can visit their online auction by following this link.
Stroll Holiday Fun At Susan Lister Locke Gallery
On Saturday, December 7th from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., celebrate stroll weekend with the Susan Lister Locke Gallery (28 Easy Street). Santa will be in the gallery for photos and wish lists. Enjoy special Flash Sales when the bell rings.
Christmas Stroll Marketplace
On Saturday, December 7th from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., the Nantucket Island Chamber of Commerce invites you to their Christmas Stroll Marketplace in the NIR/ Stop & Shop Lot (9 Salem Street). Shop the best Nantucket has to offer from a versatile group of craftspeople, artist and artisans, jewelers, photographers and retailers to name a few. The marketplace also hosts a number of notable Nantucket based nonprofits and features an entire row dedicated to culinary creations from local food truck vendors and Restaurateurs. Every participant is a proud member of Nantucket Island Chamber of Commerce! There is no entry fee for patrons, just come ready to shop ’til you drop.
Dreamland Stage Company Presents: A Year With Frog And Toad
The jazzy, upbeat score of A Year with Frog and Toad bubbles with melody and wit, making it an inventive, exuberant and enchanting musical for the whole family begins on Saturday, December 7th at the Nantucket Dreamland. There will be showings through Sunday, December 15th. You can purchase tickets here.
Gingerbread Houses With Barnaby’s Nantucket
Celebrate this holiday tradition at Barnaby’s from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Saturday, December 7th. During this class, children enjoy creating and decorating their own yummy gingerbread house using 100% edible paints, glitters, powders, and of course, a few candy adornments (Ages 4 and up). Main Street Entertainment
There will be lots of entertainment on Main Street beginning Saturday, December 7th at 10 a.m. courtesy of the Nantucket Chamber of Commerce. There will be Christmas Carols sung, Santa's arrival at Straight Wharf followed by him parading up Main Street to Pacific National Bank, and more.

Dreamland Concert Series: Holiday Classics Featuring Amanda Mena
On Saturday, December 7th from 6-7:30 p.m., don’t miss this one-night-only celebration of holiday standards with Amanda Mena (Winner of The Voice, finalist on America’s Got Talent and American Idol) and her Berklee band at the Dreamland in the Main Theater. This 90 minute concert will be complimented by cash bar receptions before and after the performance in the Dreamland’s beautiful Harborview Room and Deck.
Deck The Wharf Bash
On Saturday, December 7th from 7-10 p.m., jingle + mingle with the Maria Mitchell Association at the MMA’s inaugural ‘Deck the Wharf Bash’ Saturday, December 7, 2024, at Straight Wharf Fish (4 Harbor Square). Enjoy champagne, caviar, burgers + more! On Sunday, December 8th from 12-3 p.m., Santa is returning to Union Lodge (30 Main Street). Free Gift Bags and bring your camera.
The 11th Annual Nantucket Nutcracker
The Nantucket Dance Theater is proud to sponsor the 11th annual Nantucket Nutcracker this Sunday, December 8th at 2pm and 5pm at the Nantucket High School Auditorium. Their dancers have been working hard all season to bring the magic to life and can't wait for you to see their growth and artistry. Dazzling costumes, beautiful dancing and 100% chance of snow - it’s a show you don’t want to miss. Featuring local youth dancers, the Nantucket Nutcracker is a shorter, family-friendly version of the beloved holiday classic. Join Clara as she encounters dancing snowflakes, candies, and life-sized dolls. Whether this is the first Nutcracker or your 50th it is sure to captivate. Let the music of Tchaikovsky paired with dancers of all ages transport your family into the magical land of the sweets.
Jolly Jam - Skate With Santa
On Sunday, December 8th from 3-6 p.m., get ready to enjoy the Chamber's 50th Nantucket Christmas Stroll with a joyful twist. They'll be transforming Nantucket Ice Community Rink into a Winter Wonderland, with half the ice covered for a truly immersive experience. There will be:

The festivities wouldn't be complete with out Jolly Saint Nick making an appearance. Santa will be joining the kids on the ice for an unforgettable holiday experience. Nantucket Shorts Festival 2024
Join the Nantucket Dreamland for an encore presentation of the 2024 Nantucket Shorts Festival on Sunday, December 8th from 4-6 p.m. Experience the creativity of local filmmaking at its best. For only $28 per person ($25 ticket + $3 service fee), immerse yourself in an evening dedicated to original short films that capture the spirit of Nantucket. Each film runs between two to 10 minutes and offers a unique glimpse into the creativity of our local filmmakers. Also, enjoy a special pre-filmed Q&A session. After the screenings, watch their host, John Shea, for an engaging Q&A session. This is your chance to learn about the creative and technical processes behind each film directly from the filmmakers. NCMC Jazz Band Concert
The NCMC Jazz Band has prepared an exceptional show for the community. Under the direction of Nigel Goss they will perform a selection of holiday favorites and jazz standards on Sunday, December 8th at 4 p.m. at the Summer Street Church (1 Summer Street).
