Two-Car Accident Sends Three People To The Hospital

Members of the Nantucket Fire and Police Departments, as well as heavy rescue rushed to the scene of a two car accident in the early morning hours on Sunday after a black Range Rover and Cab Van collided in the area of 25 Old South Road.
The NPD blocked off the portion of the road between Amelia Drive and Young's Way while assisting the individuals involved in the crash. Several cruisers and public safety vehicle were on scene. When dispatch asked the NFD members who responded to the crash if they still needed an additional medic, they replied “whatever you can get" as they rushed to assist the injured drivers and passenger.
Additional personnel were called to the fire station to respond and brought a second ambulance to the area to assist with transport.
NFD said over radio communications that three people were extricated from their vehicles and all three were transported to Nantucket Cottage Hospital. Their status remains unknown at this time.
Both vehicles were towed away by Nantucket Auto Body while NFD and NPD remained on scene to clear the area of shattered glass and other debris.
