Sports Roundup: Weekend Scores & Latest MIAA Power Rankings

In this Whaler sports roundup, we take a look at the scores from this weekend's slate of games and where each team stands in the latest MIAA power rankings as we enter what is shaping up to be a hectic May for Whaler sports.

Weekend Scores:


The girls lacrosse team was on the road on Friday playing Barnstable and lost 13-12 in overtime. After beginning their season 9-0, the Whalers have now lost two straight games and are 9-2 this spring.

The girls tennis team hosted the Rising Tide Heron and won 3-2 on Friday. They have now won eight straight matches and are 9-3 this season.

The boys tennis team traveled to play Rising Tide on Friday and won their match 4-1. On Saturday, the Whalers traveled to play Falmouth Academy and lost 4-1. Nantucket is now 6-4 this season.

The baseball team traveled to play the Monomoy Sharks on Friday and lost 5-3. Their record is now 7-6, and they have lost three straight games after a strong start to their spring.

is #3 in the Division 4 Power Rankings.

Girls Lacrosse
is #7 in the Division 4 Power Rankings.

Girls Tennis
is #23 in the Division 3 Power Rankings.

Baseball
is #51 in the Division 3 Power Rankings.

Softball
is #67 in the Division 3 Power Rankings.


SCHEDULE AHEAD:


Monday, May 4th:


The girls tennis team will be at home playing the Monomoy Sharks at 4 p.m.

The boys tennis team will be on the road playing the Monomoy Sharks at 4 p.m.


Tuesday, May 5th:


The boys lacrosse team will be on the road playing the Falmouth Clippers at 3:15 p.m.

The softball team will be at home playing the Carver Crusaders at 4 p.m.

The girls lacrosse team will be on the road playing the Monomoy Sharks at 4 p.m.

The sailing team will be on the road for a regatta against the Monomoy Sharks at 4 p.m.
